Britain's Prince William marries Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey, giving her a ring of Welsh gold.

CNN Breaking: “Britain’s Prince William marries Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey, giving her a ring of Welsh gold.”

First, since when do royals elope? This is the first I’ve heard that these two are getting married.

Second, doesn’t the summary sound like something from out of Tolkien?

    This is the first I’ve heard that these two are getting married.

    While I knew they were getting married, not having a TV and having a busy job means that I had no idea it was today, saw none of the run-up, and was kept completely out of the loop. It was wonderful.

    I agree it was breaking news. Caught the whole world by surprise. You know how impulsive these young kids are today, they just rush into things without thinking.

    I can just see Kate trying to climb down a ladder with her long dress train.
