Sarah Palin Swimsuit Video

The video of Sarah Palin (then: Sarah Heath) in the swimsuit competition of the 1984 Miss Alaska pageant is making the rounds:

Per HuffPo, the announcer comments,

“Sarah says she wants to prepare for a career in television broadcasting by majoring in telecommunications and political science. It is no wonder that she has also been recognized by ‘Who’s Who?’ since she has displayed her leadership in all areas, from academics to student politics to athletics… Ladies and gentlemen, contestant no. 8, Sarah Heath.”

Aside from noting that she’s better at this than answering foreign policy questions, I’m not sure I have much to add.

I guess we are not going to talk about Palin’s meltdown with Katie Couric…

  2. anjin-san says:

On the plus side, we now know for certain why McCain chose her…

  3. Triumph says:

There is a reason that swimsuits are not popular apparel in Alaska.

    Uh, Anjin-san …

Aside from noting that she’s better at this than answering foreign policy questions

… I think we just did.

I’m thinking that Anjin is thinking of Breakdown #2–namely her vision of the credit bailout plan, which makes her command of foreign affairs look positively coherent.

If you call the interview with Couric a meltdown, Anjin, you are the idiot I always thought you were. What a tool. What about Obama’s outright lies about his association with William Ayers? His thug like behavior concerning TV stations that broadcast NRA ads which define Obamas real position on 2nd Amendment issues are being hidden from the public. If you think you lost civil rights under the Bush admin., just listen to Obama. What are is plans for a Civilian national militia? Brownshirt SA’s?

Zelsdorf…does someone pay you to be the designated troll/idiot on blogs comment/discussion forums?

Katie frickin Couric…say it again, Katie Couric, jeebus, if Sarah could not handle a Katie Couric interview she needs a lifeguard to rescue her, because she is drowning, talk about being in over your head. As Andrew Sullivan said, Sarah was a godsend to Katie, as the interview helped resuscitate her career.

Interesting that the links no longer work…

Zelsdorf: The NRA has been saying for some 60 odd years that “they” are coming to take our guns…

    “They” still haven’t…

But while you have been “clinging” (yes, I use that word on purpose) to your guns, the “other they” have come and taken your Habeus (sp?) Corpus rights.

Tell me, what are YOU going to do when “Delta Force” kicks in your door? Call a lawyer? Why bother? You are either dead or in Albania.

    Stop drinking the Kool-aid.

Could one of you fine gentlemen explain to me the relationship between how someone looked in swimsuit 25 years ago and that persons vice-presedential qualities? Will a swimming costume parade be part of the next presidential debate too?

  10. cas says:

PLEASE whatever you do, DON’T show us photos of Joe Biden when he was running as “Mr Working Class Scranton PA,” please!
Oh you’re not? Are you sure that they don’t exist?
Then why not just discuss HIS “meltdown(s)”? Oh, what, isn’t it correct to compare Vice presidents, and how they misspeak during the campaign?
