Schwarzenegger for Senate

Paul Bedard reports that, “There’s growing buzz in Washington and California that just re-elected Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger likes this government stuff so much that he’s got his eye on the Senate. Specifically, the seat held by Sen. Barbara Boxer, who’s up for re-election in 2010 when the Terminator ends his second term.”

That’s a long way off and, frankly, I’d think being one of a hundred Senators would be a huge step down from being chief executive of the largest state in the union. Then again, barring a Constitutional amendment to remove the native-born requirement (which I’d support), there are no higher offices open to Schwarzenegger.

Since he’s such a man, does anyone think he could run for both Boxer and Feinstien and hold both of their seats?

PS. Yeah, Yeah, I know they aren’t up for reelection at the same time, it’s a joke.

A president who comes by his struggles with the English language honestly, would be a step up for the Republicans.
