Site Status Update

With the exception of the effects of the denial of service attacks on their Medea server, HostingMatters has resolved the issues they were having. Unfortunately, there seems to be another issue specific to OTB–inordinately high number of process demands on the Pollock server–that neither the fine tech support people at HostingMatters nor my own technical advisors (Kathy Kinsley and Mark Jaquith) have been able to pinpoint.

HostingMatters is moving OTB to a separate server so that at least we’re not having an impact on other sites. Hopefully, this will help us isolate the problem. If the site happens to go down again, though, I’ll be posting at the backup site outsidethebeltway.blogspot.com, a/k/a “OTB-BS”.
