Streisand: K-9 Teams to Sweep Arenas for Explosives

I found the fact that Barbra Streisand insists on having a K-9 team sweep the arenas she performs in for explosive devices rather amusing. I guess when you are an implacable foe of the Bush Family Evil Empire you have to take extra security precautions.

it couldn’t be that the people who tend to take ms streisand the most seriously are known racist, uninformed, gun toting, misogynists? I feel your biggest problem with hollywood in general is that they are smart enough to see through right wing propaganda and know that hate doesn’t sell long term….thats why notorious right wingers include, hmm help me here?

I have no idea what kind of hate mail she gets. I still think it a bit silly to send in a K9 unit, but if they do find a bomb someday, I’ll be the first to admit my error.

Well, there are ways to find out there’s a bomb, and ways *not* to find out … y’know?
I would suspect that she’s actually gotten a bomb threat in the past.
And it’s not like she can’t afford it. Anything that redistributes a little of the money she gets for singing “Send in the Clowns” is A-OK by me.
