Suicide Raid in Eastern Turkey

Via the BBC: Turkey ‘suicide raid kills three’

Three people have been killed in a suicide attack on a military outpost in eastern Turkey, media and police say.

It was not immediately clear who was behind the bombing in Tunceli, where Kurdish rebels are known to operate.

The attack comes amid speculation Turkey may launch an incursion into Iraq to tackle Kurdish rebels following recent rebel operations inside Turkey.

Tensions are increasing on the Turkish-Iraqi border, so any such attacks ratchet the situation up another notch.
