Erick-Woods Erickson has asked me to spread the word that Red State is promoting this event as a counter-protest:
Cindy Sheehan is joining the radical leftist group A.N.S.W.E.R. in Washington, DC to stand up for everything that is wrong with America. Join us on Sunday, September 25 to celebrate all that is right with this great country – the men and women in uniform that guard our liberty.
This looks like a worthwhile event with several interesting activities scheduled. There is transportation available for groups of ten or more.
I’m tied up this weekend with moving my household goods from my recently-sold Ashburn townhouse to Alexandria and last-minute wedding prep activities, so I can’t make it.

Yesterday I actually received a telephone solicitation for this event. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend because, fortunately, I’ll be at Camp Lejeune, NC, welcoming my son back from his 6-month government-funded pleasure cruise. To Iraq.
