Ten Most Dangerous Toys

Dangerous Toys ID’d (CNN/Money)

Just in time for the holidays, a consumer group announced its pick for the 10 worst toys of 2004 Wednesday, including the Pocket Rocket Miniature Motorcycle and the Megabuster Battle Weapon.

I guess the U-235 Building Blocks sets have all been scarfed up by Iranian kids, so I’ll have to stick to just playing some of the classic games with mine, like Musical Spikes or Hide and Go Kill

The toy industry shot back saying that the top 10 list created unnecessary amounts of panic among consumers.

“Toys produced and sold in the U.S. are the most highly regulated and monitored in the world and U.S. toy safety standards serve as a model around the globe,” said TIA in a statement. “Toys are consistently ranked by the (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) as one of the safest of 15 products commonly found in the home.

I’d gladly go back to the days of dangerous toys over some of the music my kids listen to now.
