The Iraqi Constitution

Jon Henke on the need for holding firm to the January 31 election deadline:

Muddling with an election date set in stone in the Iraqi Constitution would be a dour sign, indeed. We shouldn’t treat their Constitution as any less binding than our own….

Perhaps, in light of decades of judicial activism, more so.
