Tim Johnson Out of Hospital, Eyeing Re-Election Bid

Tim Johnson was released from George Washington University Hospital Friday and taken to an undisclosed rehabilitation facility. Roll Call‘s David Drucker reports that Johnson “now appears likely to run for re-election next year, as he continues to improve from a stroke that had thrown his political future into doubt.”

Excellent news on the health front. Come November 2008, though, I’ll almost certainly be pulling for his Republican opponent. A healthy Tim Johnson certainly won’t have any trouble making a living doing something else.
