Tom Daschle Rules out Presidential Bid

Tom Daschle, the former Senate Minority/Majority/Minority leader who was defeated in his bid for re-election two years ago, has announced that he will not run for president in 2008. It took several feeler trips to Iowa and New Hampshire. I could have saved him the trouble.

  2. I could have saved him the trouble.

    No joke.

    Indeed, for a small fee I would happily advise these guys on whether they should spend even a nanosecond contemplating a run. Some of these are simply slam-dunk obvious to everyone except the potential candidate and his closest advisers.
