UCLA SUX (Oh, and, Free Tibet)

Friends of Tibet Tag - UCLA SUX Seen whilst driving home: A Virginia “Friends of Tibet” license plate with the vanity inscription “UCLA SUX.”

Presumably, a USC fan.

Now, while I realize these messages aren’t mutually exclusive, they seem rather contradictory in spirit. If nothing else, one wouldn’t think it would persuade a lot of Bruins alumni to Tibet’s cause.

And, given the relative size of the two messages, it would seem that the sports message would overshadow the political one.

It’s likely a Students for Free Tibet thing.

UC Board of Regents recently divested in companies doing business in the Sudan and I think the Tibet groups are now pressuring them to do the same with China-related companies.

    Good fricking luck.

There are good things about the left’s fascination with freeing Tibet. It must be the only thing in it’s entire playbook that has them taking the side of a religion against communism. I can’t quite figure it out, unless it has to do with all that guru crap of the sixties they tried to substitute for the Judeo-Christian world they threw away..

How did it make it past the DMV censors. We have a Democratic Governor and it is nothing to do with religion or abortion.
