    It’s just scary is all I know. I’m working with guys who are O-4s and O-5s and thinking, “Damn, those guys are kids. How the hell did they get to be majors and lieutenant colonels?!” Then it occurs to me that they’re my age. Indeed, my commissioning class is in the zone for LTC this year.

    One of the girls in the small group I lead invited me to go swing dancing with her and her friends. Flattering to know that she likes hanging out with me, but at 37, I’m old enough to be all of their mothers. Yikes!
