I thought that Dick Morris would win in a canter, but unbelievably, he has stiff competition.

  2. mantis says:

Tough call since they are all so bad, but I think it has to go to Dick Morris. He’s always disastrously wrong, but he really outdid himself this time.

  3. Mikey says:

Morris shows up in two of the three choices–as part of a group of awful Electoral College predictions, and then by himself for his hilarious suggestion Obama might pull an LBJ and drop out.

I think he should get the “win.”

  4. Scott says:

Interesting thought: If Romney won with 315-330 electoral votes it would’ve been a landslide.

Since Obama won 332 electoral votes, why is this not called a landslide?

    Question is purely rhetorical.

  5. Ron Beasley says:

Dick Morris has not been right about anything for two decades and I don’t think he should have been included. He is just like Hannity or Limbaugh telling people what they want to hear and so is an entertainer rather than a pundit.

  6. Bobo says:

    What about Jennifer Rubin?

  7. maggie says:

Wow, just when you thought Doug Mancontis could not become less relvant and more lazy, as a contributing writer, he post this article with a headline and that is about it!! No detail.s, no list, not even a link to find this so called poll he headlines and puts out there as his opinion piece..

Surely he is just another blogger with no real job, cause NOBODY would be stupid enough to pay this man money for any opinion piece. Hell, he is too lazy to even cut and paste and opinion piece!. What a joke

  8. Ben Wolf says:

@maggie: You’re out of line and your criticisms are unfair.

  9. OzarkHillbilly says:

Anytime I get to vote for Dick Morris, George Will, Glenn Beck, and I forget the others…. That was a win-win-win-win-win-win.

  10. Mikey says:

@maggie: The link to the article containing the poll is in the first sentence of Doug’s post. It’s the words “the worst pundit of the 2012 election cycle.”

    @Ben Wolf:

Stupid too, Ben. The link is right there, but she can’t find it.

  12. @Ron Beasley:

He is just like Hannity or Limbaugh telling people what they want to hear and so is an entertainer rather than a pundit.

From what I’ve heard, there is a big distinction between Limbaugh and Hannity. Limbaugh doesn’t really believe most of what he says and is just in it for the money. Hannity is an actual true-believer.

  13. C. Clavin says:

I’m no defender of Doug “Both Sides Do It” Mataconis…but the poll didn’t deserve anything more than he gave it.
    Maggie’s off-base here.

  14. anjin-san says:

    Maggie’s off-base here.

Roger that. I’ve been pretty critical of Doug, but just don’t see what she is carrying on about.

  15. grumpy realist says:

Well, whoever wins, can we have them take vows of silences and hole up at Trappist monestaries for the next five years?

(Me, I’m even more strict….La Veuve Rouge for them.)

  16. Geek, Esq. says:

Only problem with the first grouping is that it doesn’t include such luminaries as Dan “Obama is toast” McLaughlin from RedState and Jay Cost, both of whom picked fights with PPP and Nate Silver.

  17. Neil Hudelson says:

    @maggie:

as a contributing writer, he post this article with a headline and that is about it!! No detail.s, no list,

    From Merriam Webster:

“Quick: done or taking place with rapidity”

    “Take: To apprehend or understand”

Together, a “quick take” means a short piece meant to be rapidly understood.

In this section, the authors of this blog post very short pieces that are not meant for in depth analysis or thought, but are simply speedy (or “quick”) reactions to interesting tidbits on the interwebs.

I’m sorry that this was difficult for you to comprehend, but I hope it has been cleared up.

Well played Maggie the troll, well played indeed.

  19. de stijl says:

Wow, just when you thought Doug Mancontis could not become less relvant and more lazy, as a contributing writer, he post this article with a headline and that is about it!!

If he had copy-pasted the first two paragraphs from the original article, blockquoted it, and added his own “Heh. Indeed. Read the whole thing” that would have been a solid morning’s worth of work for Glenn Reynolds.

  20. edmondo says:

    @john personna:

Apparently Dick Morris now posts as “Maggie”

  21. de stijl says:

Why wasn’t the Unskewed Polls guy included? He’s not a pundit? Or because he hedged his bets and changed his EV map at the last minute?

  22. Mikey says:

@edmondo: LOL…one green thumb up for you!

  23. Bernieyeball says:

Maggie has been out of sorts since Bobby Dylan left the Plantation…

“It’s a shame the way she makes me scrub the floor
    I ain’t gonna work on Maggie’s farm no more…”
