Zillow: White House Worth $319 Million

Online real estate site Zillow.com has listed the White House as being worth $319 million:

For only $319.6 million, a 16-bedroom, 35-bathroom house with a prime D.C. address could be yours — if the White House were for sale, that is.

Real estate website Zillow’s listing for the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW describes it as a “magnificent 132-room mansion” as the “rarest of homes in the U.S. since it is not only the residence of the U.S. president and his family, but it also has two wings with offices for the president, the First Lady, top staff and aides.”

Not in the buying mood? The White House could be rented for $1.8 million a month. There’s central cooling, a finished basement (that doubles as a nuclear bunker), ceiling fans, barbecue, an attached garage, jet tub and it’s cable ready, the listing says.

Use of the Presidential limousine will cost you extra, though

    $319M? Didn’t Larry Ellison buy the island of Lanai for $1 Billion?

  9. Davebo says:

    @al-Ameda:

    That’s what Murdock wanted for it but estimates are Ellison picked it up for between 500 and 600 million.

    Pretty sweet deal!
