OTB has just had its 2000th visitor since the installation of the SiteMeter counter on February 4th. Once again, the referrer was unknown. Since I installed the Referral script a couple weeks ago, ScrappleFace and PoliBlog have been by far my biggest referrers, responsible for 484 and 132 visitors, respectively. My thanks to them and to all those who have blogrolled me, helping make people aware of the site.

Administrative note: Two nights ago, when I was having some difficulty with the site, I installed a second counter by FastCounter as a backup. During that interval, I’ve had twice the “visits” on FastCounter as on SiteMeter. I think the SiteMeter counter is much more reliable because 1) it allows me to block my home and work IP addresses, so that I don’t count my own “visits” to the site and 2) it differentiates unique visitors and page views.
