Job Search, Redux

Thanks very much to everyone who has expressed their support on my sudden entry into the job market. I’ve gotten several potential leads, some useful advice, and several people who asked for résumés to show around. I’ve been in this boat a couple of times before and never had this type of network to plug into; I’m surprised and certainly pleased by the level of response.

Special thanks to everyone who linked to the post to get the word out and, of course, to those who’ve hit the tip jar.

Can you operate a CNC machine? That’s the only hot job connection I’ve got.

James, I sure hope you’re gonna have better luck than I’ve been having.

I have been back to work for about 2 years, but I had been laid off just a couple of months prior to 9/11, just when the economy was tanking. I was off eleven months, so I can have some empathy to your situation. I hope you are able to find something you like soon. Good Luck.

I miss one day reading blogs and all hell breaks loose–1st Michele Catalano and now you.

Hang on tight and you’ll make it. You can always freelance-write, can’t you? I’d think you’d have some good publishing contacts to tide you over until you get nailed down to something. Just a thought.
