Disillusionment of Ten O’Clock
The houses are haunted
By white night-gowns.
None are green,
Or purple with green rings,
Or green with yellow rings,
Or yellow with blue rings.
None of them are strange,
With socks of lace
And beaded ceintures.
People are not going
To dream of baboons and periwinkles.
Only, here and there, an old sailor,
Drunk and asleep in his boots,
Catches tigers
In red weather.

You look like, but are not the mundane white night-gown people; you are an old sailor dreaming of grander, wilder things.
Was a glorious dawn. Strong wind from the the north chasing the under story of broken stratus like chaff. Milky blue and gun metal gray and soft lemon. I need to download a color-wheel app just to name them.
Commenter Kathy was feeling downtrodden and overwhelmed yesterday and my bonehead response was basically “buckle up, buttercup!” which was off and wrong. I apologize. Everyone is allowed to feel dark if they need to.
