    After vacation weeks, we would dump all four people’s dirty clothes in a big pile on the family room floor. Had to be careful about kicking that clothes pile, or trying to pick up part of it, because the beagle would burrow in as deep as she could get. We always assumed it was because after being at the kennel for a week, she wanted to smell her people as strongly as possible.
