That is a very, very Georgia O’Keefe pic. (and wasn’t last weeks pic very O’Keefe too? Nothing wrong with that. I like her stuff.)

Intense color. (Magenta? What’s the best Pantone to English translation for that color?)

Joyner is supposed to do a late night music post, but he has neglected his duty.

    Here is my offering:

Crystal Castles – Not In Love ft. Robert Smith of The Cure

    https://youtu.be/32udqal_lyQ?list=RD32udqal_lyQ

Very aggro spiky trance synth punk that just builds and builds and builds, and the payoff is f!cking spectacular. So dark, so hopeful.

Robert Smith is def *not* in love; he said so so many times. Why would you doubt him?

I need to check myself and rebuke this sh!t I said earlier:

That is a very, very Georgia O’Keefe pic. (and wasn’t last weeks pic very O’Keefe too? …)

I apologize. It was meant to be an observation, but it reads like petty judgey catty.

Share whatever pics you choose to.

[Abashedly puts hands in pockets. Kicks imaginary pebble on the street as a defense mechanism. Says Sorry Dude I fvcked up. Kinda avoids direct eye contact because he knows he was a rude douche earlier. Turns around and walks out of scene.]

No worries–I did not take it that way. I don’t attempt to be O’Keefesque, but the thought occurs to me as well. I think it is a testament to the power and ownership she had on the subject of flowers. I often think of her art when I am processing some of these shots.

Indeed, I entitled this one (from 2010) “Georgia on my Mind” Georgia on my Mind

(Not that great of a photo, in retrospect, but it fits the conversation).
