    Nice.

It’s amazing how many nice photographs violate all of the rules about shooting into the sun…

I was on a National Geographic-sponsored cruise once that had a posse of NG photographers aboard giving lessons, and a passenger-taken-photographs exhibition at the end of the trip. One of my best shots was of a bunch of people in a zodiac alongside the ship, into the sun, glints and reflections everywhere, most people silhouetted. The pros hated it; everyone else loved it.

  2. @DrDaveT: Its all about the light.

    I also like silhouettes.

So sure, rules, but the output is king, IMHO.
