he is a liberal, he was born this way, it’s natural, it’s what makes him special, and better then the rest of us, or he has mad burro disease, in any event it’s not his fault and if you say it is you need to be locked up because your mean!

What’s needed on a slow day like this at OTB is headline merging, like “Alec Baldwin Declares Truce with Israel Over.”

Crowing over the personal misfortunes of someone because you happen to dislike their politics displays a certain lack of class…

  4. I would not have described being a short-tempered, narcissistic jerk as a “personal misfortune.” It is sufficiently self-inflicted that I cannot see it as a manifestation of the impersonal hand of Fate.

Though I do find Phillip’s comment short on class.

  5. anjin-san says:

A bitter divorce and a custody battle is a personal misfortune. That is what this story is about. From what I have heard, Baldwin does sound like a jerk, but I have never met the guy and I doubt that anyone on this thread has.

While I’m no fan of Alec Baldwin, I find Kim Bassinger’s behavior at least as reprehensible.

As a mother, she should have shielded her daughter from his rants rather than publish to the world that Daddy called her daughter a pig.

And she could have had a private conversation with Daddy and the lawyer.

Both are using their child and the media as weapons against each other and neither has any moral highground in my opinion.

AND they’re both liberal pigs! (insert raspberry noise here).

“A bitter divorce and a custody battle is a personal misfortune. That is what this story is about.”

Odds are that this is also self-inflicted, rather than the impersonal hand of Fate.

  8. Distributing the audio file of the phone call served no worthwhile purpose.
