Via the BBC:  Facebook has more than 83 million ‘fake’ users

Facebook has revealed that it believes there are now more than 83 million fake users on the social network.

The shock of it all!

    I would be really interested to know how they came up with that estimate.

    Do they really believe there are close to a billion people who show themselves naked on their platform?

    I’ve always thought that the “X Million Users” figures were bloated with duplicate accounts, fake accounts, and company accounts. Heck, I have three separate Facebook accounts under different names/pseudonyms (I created two of them in an attempt to post on a blog that uses that irritating Facebook Commenting System). Now we have some actual numbers.
