Another Prisoner Escapes Fulton County Custody

Fox News television is reporting that another prisoner has escaped from the Fulton County jail. The sound is off on the television and I’ve thus far been unable to find any details online, including the Fox website.

Update (1108): Search Underway in Atlanta for Escapee (WSBTV-Atlanta)

Police and Fulton County sheriff’s deputies were searching in northwest Atlanta Thursday for a prisoner who escaped from police custody. The identity of the escapee was not immediately clear. Authorities said the man escaped from Atlanta police custody as he was being transferred to the Fulton County Jail.

More details to come.

So, unlike the last guy, he wasn’t actually in jail, just on the way.

Well, I still don’t think we need Gitmo, but I definitely don’t suggest that we lock up suspected Qaeda members in Fulton County.

What are we doing with Alcatraz these days? Whoops, 9th Circuit, never mind …

(Since they’re talking about splitting the 9th into the 9th and 12th Circuits, how about making Alcatraz its own circuit while they’re at it, and picking the biggest S.O.B.’s off the federal bench to staff it? The 13th Circuit ….)

I find it vaguely amusing that a prisoner who escaped in Fulton County, in the center of the Atlanta area, didn’t crack CNN or FoxNews, but CNN spent about 10 minutes on a prisoner who escaped custody in Bartow County, three counties NW of Fulton.
