In all honesty, coming from Illinois, I can definitely say that Obama has serious baggage that has gone relatively unreported by the national press. His connections with Tony Rezko, a federally indicted fundraiser for Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich are troubling. The investigation into Rezko has not progressed too far yet, but the fact remains that Obama paid substantially less for his Chicago house than the open market price in a land deal with Rezko that has serious ethics questions.

He has a pretty face, and is best known for his DNC speech. He has served almost two years in the senate. He has no executive experience.

I seriously doubt he is going to survive the primaries-he is way too easy a target for the experienced guys running.

He might eventually make a good candidate, but ’08 is too soon, he needs to take the stars out of his eyes.
