Beltway Traffic Jam

Beltway region traffic was more ridiculous than usual, even leaving early this afternoon. Apparently, the combination of one micron of snow accumulating on the ground along with sub-freezing temperatures requires one to drive quite literally 3 miles per hour down Route 7 and no more than 40 miles per hour even on perfectly cleared major highways that have been layered with sand.
