WaPo reports that some people are dissatisfied with the results when they unleash their idiot neighbors and randomly-chosen designers to do major home remodeling projects in 48 hours on a $1000 budget. Imagine that.
I am SHOCKED!
Indeed, I have often wondered a) why people go on that show, and b) why they are so often surprised that they don’t like the outcome.
1. Because a few of the designers are actually pretty good.
2. They think they stand a good chance of ending up with a beautifully redecorated room free. The sweat and no-sleep equity somehow doesn’t count.
3. They will be on TV.
Actually I think #3 is probably #1 if we’re ranking importance for the rationale.
methinks you are correct on #3 in particular.
My Daughters love to watch the show. I like to watch too, but usually only to see if “Doug”, will make people cry.
