Blockbuster Offers Free Rentals to Netflix Customers

Blockbuster is offering a new promotion whereby “Netflix members can turn in the tear-off flaps from any red Netflix envelopes for free rentals at any Blockbuster store. The promotion is set to run through December 21.”

I’m inclined to agree with Nexflix’ spokesman: “The very reason for online DVD rental is that you don’t have to go to the store.” The only way this would be of interest to me (and, yes, we’re Netflix customers) would be if we had mailed back all our selections and we had nothing else to do over a weekend.

Problem with Blockbuster was they never had what I wanted to watch. I always get what I want to watch on Netflix.

Can we use them to pay off the late fee balance that sent us to Netflix in the first place?

Which is the only reason you’ll find me in a Blockbuster/Hollywood Video.

    Anderson,

Yeah, now that might actually get my attention.
