JawaPalooza Hits D.C.
Last evening, I attended the first ever JawaPalooza, occasioned by a visit to DC by Rusty Shackleford of Jawa Report. The event was at Mackey’s Public House at 18th and K St. Among the attendees were Leopold Stotch of Professor Chaos and OTB, Maximum Leader of Naked Villainy, BRD of Anticipatory Retaliation, and the Cranky Neocon. Steve of Llama Butchers and Bill Ardolino of INDC Journal were no-shows. A good time was had by all, as we discussed everything from politics to culture to selling out for mad blog dollars. We finally broke up well after midnight as the geezerly among us decided it would be prudent to still be somewhat alert as we made the trek home.
Steven Taylor of PoliBlog, my former colleague at the former Troy State University (now, State-less), is in town for a few days with his family in tow and the girlfriend and I are having them over for dinner this evening.
One word: Whaleblubber (OK, so it’s reaally two.)
Eskimo get plenty of vitamin D. Don’t tell “Save the Whales” though.
And finding good recipes is a bit of a chore.
It was great to meet you, James. I just wish you had stronger opinions. 😉
Head Dr. Taylor’s kids lots of M&Ms! They love them, and it will make the parents so very happy!!
