Bush, Or Obama ?

The guys at Bankrupting America paid a visit to last Saturday’s Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor” rally and decided to quiz some attendees on their knowledge of which President was responsible for which outrageous spending program:

  1. It seems reasonable to bring up matters of degree — was Medicare part D more or less expensive than the Obama-era healthcare reform bill? — although neither side comes out looking particularly good in such a calculus.

    We’ll never know if Obamacare will be more expensive thant Medicare Part D. Obamacare will force the government into default, so most of the money promised will never be spent.

    We know the costs of the Bush Medicare plan.  We don’t know the cost of the Obama plan, since it hasn’t been implemented, although taken in its totality it is projected to reduce government spending.  (But, of course, that is just a projection.)
