Chris Bowers Leaves MyDD

Chris Bowers is handing over the reins at MyDD and starting a new group blog that will allow him to “write about more than just elections and political infrastructure” and “explicitly work toward building a progressive governing majority.” While I hope he fails at the latter, I wish him success at the new digs once they open in mid-July.

Chris is one of the few significant bloggers who still writes mostly essay-length posts and he has made some valuable contributions to analyzing both the political landscape and the role the blogosphere plays in it. It’ll be interesting to see what he does freed from the constraints of a blog whose focus was created by someone else.
