Chris Dodd Finishes Fourth in Home State Poll

Chris Dodd is not Connecticut’s Favorite Son, if a new Quinnipiac University poll is accurate. His 8 percent showing places him fourth in the field, behind Hillary Clinton (33 percent), Barack Obama (21 percent) and Al Gore (9 percent).

Poll Director Douglas Schwartz says, “If Sen. Christopher Dodd can’t even come close to winning a Democratic primary in his home state, that’s obviously a bad sign for his presidential campaign.” The Politico‘s Aoife McCarthy figures, “The poor showing for Dodd would not seem to bode well for his White House aspirations.” No joke.

Presumably, it’s a referendum on the war.

  2. I think it’s safe to write Dodd off right now.

Interestingly, he has a crapload of money for the race. Wonder where it will go.
