Christopher Walken for President in 2008

There is actually a Walken 2008 Official Website, although it’s apparently not quite serious enough for its own domain name.

Our great country is in a terrible downward spiral. We’re outsourcing jobs, bankrupting social security, and losing lives at war. We need to focus on what’s important– paying attention to our children, our citizens, our future. We need to think about improving our failing educational system, making better use of our resources, and helping to promote a stable, safe, and tolerant global society. It’s time to be smart about our politics. It’s time to get America back on track.

I’m not sure if that devoid-of-policy tripe is actually Walken’s, but it is no less silly than that of most candidates.

They actually could use more cowbell around DC.

  2. lindsay c. says:

They do have their own domain: walken2008.com. They recently changed DNS, so until it fully propagates (generally 24-72 hours for worldwide propagation), the site may be kinda up and down.

I have no idea whether or not it’s serious.

Parody.. Way to get your hopes up.

    End of story.

  4. Mark Hopkins says:

The site is a hoax. I spoke to Maura Buxbaum at ID PR, Walken’s publicist. She said that Walken “has no aspirations for public office.”

It sounds like he has the same plan Kerry had. Vague with no details of how to accomplish these feel good cleches. He has a good chance of being a leading Democratic politician.

  6. Jim Durbin says:

I have to say I read his supposed words in the Christopher Walken voice – and it was hilarious.

Kerry had a plan. PDF, on his website. Good one too. He quoted it, and unlike Bush, he quoted the actual correct address.

Admit it PNAC/Bushleaguers, and admit you wouldn’t know what a liberal was. I’m not, but, you don’t know that. Think you sound like broken record of sound room cuttings.

War for oil is murder? Hey, I support the troops. Ain’t gotta support the murderer-in-chimp, however.
