Doug Mataconis held a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. He joined the staff of OTB in May 2010 and contributed a staggering 16,483 posts before his retirement in January 2020. He passed far too young in July 2021.

    Steve Plunk had a much better and shall we say more adult comment. Taylor and Mataconis are kind of like President Obama. They are taking something that had value and ruining it. Taylor should sue the School which conferred his Ph.D. on him. They failed to educate him. He is but an opinionated empty shell blathering thoughts others have installed in what passes for his intellect. An echo chamber with letters after his name. Doug and Sam are adolecents who seem try to act like adults but cannot get over the resentments they harbor from bullies taking away their lunch money in the 3rd grade.
