Kevin McGehee is offering a free coffee mug or mousepad to the 50,000th visitor at blogoSFERICS. While I’m game to contests–although I’ve been slow to get on board offering prizes involving actual money–I’m rather astounded that blogoSFERICS merchandise already exists.

Update (1908): He just hit 50,000. Go congratulate him and start him on his way to 100,000.

    CafeShops makes it easy and it requires no up-front cost. I’ve even sold a thing or two to people other than myself. But I did it mainly because I thought it would be cool to have my logo on stuff.

    Heh–I clicked through and saw that. I might do it myself, in fact. My current site logo, oddly, isn’t tall enough for their specs.

    I just presumed that one would have to actually buy the merchandise up front in some quantity and then resell it. Not much risk this way.
