Typical for the Huntsman campaign, alas, the ad is smart . . . and garnered 312 views thus far.

Oddly, I thought they’d go in a different direction on a “smoking” spoof.

  1. Alas if all it took was having attractive offspring, Al Gore would be a former president too.

They also didn’t seem to quite duplicate the strange sideways nod mannerism in the original.

I can’t comment on the satirical qualities of the ad because I haven’t watched the Herman Cain original (Herman Cain for President is bizarre enough for me all by itself), but I like the ad on basic principles–more than the candidate, in fact.

Rich, white girls doing comedy. Oy vey.

  4. MM says:

Needs more shaky cam. I think that the role that Huntsman is taking which is basically to mock the other candidates will pay off big time if the party ever recovers sanity. That payoff however, will not happen in 2012.

  5. Moosebreath says:

Also needs a Cheshire cat-style grin from the candidate himself. Still pretty funny.
