IRRATIONAL EXUBERANCE? If this WSJ editorial is any indication, the commentariat may have swung in the other direction again. While I agree that things are going very, very well and think there is a possibility that the regime will collapse at any time, I also wouldn’t be surprised if the fighting lasted several more weeks. If we’re going to encounter heavy resistance anywhere, it’s going to be in Baghdad.

Comments like this are just stupid:

Coalition troops are closer to downtown Baghdad than many American commuters are to their offices.

Most of us don’t have people shooting at us on the way to work.
