IS HE OR AIN’T HE?

IS HE OR AIN’T HE? We still aren’t sure whether we “got” Saddam with those initial strikes: U.S. Thinks Hussein, Sons Were In Bunker. My hope is that we did. My guess is that we didn’t. There are maybe two people in all of Iraq that have any loyalty to Saddam Hussein. So, why they wouldn’t immediately announce that he was now a corpse and say, “Please, please, please nice Americans don’t bomb us” escapes me. Still, if we have injured him or have him afraid to come out of his hole and control the action, Iraq is a headless state right now. That has to partly explain why our boys are meeting so little resistance.
