Considering all the trouble John Brennan went through–including a Rand Paul filibuster–to get confirmed earlier this month, it seems awfully strange that he’s already been replaced by Julia Pearson and that there was no word of her being nominated.

Alas, it turns out, Pearson instead was named director of the Secret Service–which I understand is a completely different agency.

This actually makes a lot more sense.
