Via El Tiempo: El lunes empieza la quimioterapia de Lula por cáncer de laringe.
According to the piece the news came via a press release from the Worker’s Party and was a surprise.
Apparently, the tumor was discovered today.
Lula was president of Brazil for two terms and will turn 66 this week.
