Saddam’s Likely War Plans

Michael Gordon (NYT via YahooNews) reports on Saddam’s likely war plans, which basically involve forcing the US to fight an urban campaign. This strikes me as rather fanciful. We should be able to take out his command, control, and communications infrastructure by air within the first few hours of the assault. Once that happens, there really is no need to move in with massive numbers of armored forces. I don’t expect our war plan to rely on fighting building to building, as it would virtually eliminate the US advantage.
