Michele Bachmann To Launch Presidential Campaign Monday
She already announced she had entered the race at June 13th’s debate in Manchester, but Michele Bachmann is starting her formal campaign kickoff next Monday in Iowa:
Rep. Michele Bachmann will officially launch her campaign for president next Monday in Iowa, the Huffington Post has learned.
Bachmann is set to announce the details of the event on Wednesday morning, Alice Stewart, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota Republican, told HuffPost. News about the Monday event did not come from Stewart or from Bachmann headquarters, but from sources with knowledge of the event.
(…)
Bachmann is in position to perform well in the Hawkeye State given her strong conservative credentials, her dynamism on the stump and the fact that she was born in Iowa and lived there until her family moved to Minnesota when she was 12 years old.
Expect an aggressive media push from Bachmann in Iowa. She’s certainly demonstrated enough fundrasing prowess in the past to finance a big campaign.
First question:
Given your position on Socialism will you be returning farm subsidies you have recieved to the government, and will you move to end pork subsidy programs by the Ag Dept.?
@Norm: Right, as if the question screeners at CNN and the LWV are going to let a question like THAT through the “impartial random questioning” process.
I look forward to the next five announcements that she is running.
