Well, the ride is finally over: Connecticut 87, Alabama 71. UConn is clearly the better team–they had a 25 point lead at one point and managed to hang on even with Emeka Okafor out much of the second half. Add to that Alabama’s having won two consecutive big upsets and it was too much. Still, a pretty good showing for a #8 seed up against what most analysts think is the best team in the country.
