OFF TO DC

I’m once again traveling back inside the beltway, this time to meet with an author at United Press International. I’m hopeful that I can time it properly and escape in time to beat the worst of the traffic home.

The linkfest version of Beltway Traffic Jam will be delayed somewhat.

Let’s see…it’s 3:15pm here in the DC area. What are the chances that Dr. Joyner will enjoy the pleasure of an evening commute out of the city?

  2. James Joyner says:

    I made it!

I left the UPI building around 3:20 and was able to make it to I-66 by 3:45, even with all the congestion caused by the street closures for the stupid tree lighting thing. I-66 was, as usual, fairly crowded through Arlington, but not all that bad afterwards.

You’re a fortunate man. I-66 at 6pm was the usual parking lot.

How can you take I-66 at 6? Isn’t it HOV from 4-7?
