OTB Maintenance
There will be a short outage in the 9pm Eastern hour for scheduled maintenance.
The site will be down for a bit late this evening for PHP and WordPress software updates. They’re necessary for security and stability and the former should theoretically improve the speed at which the site loads.
UPDATE (Saturday 0922): The update seems to have broken something. New posts are showing up on the front page for some but not others. Ditto comments. I also can’t upload new images into the backend.
UPDATE (Saturday 1117): My IT guy hasn’t responded to emails. Posts can be seen via our Twitter feed. Hopefully, we’ll be back to normal soon.
UPDATE (Saturday 1302): All seems to be working now.
It’s OK with me. I’m usually falling into a food coma about that time anyway.
Any idea how long OTB will be down?
Feeling optimistic, are we? WordPress and PHP have managed to recreate most of the programming nightmares of the 1990s.
