OTB on MSNBC (Update: Bumped)

I’m scheduled to appear this afternoon on MSNBC’s “Connected: Coast to Coast” with Ron Reagan and Monica Crowley to do a roundup of today’s happenings in the blogosphere. I presumed the passing of Terri Schiavo would preempt my segment but they’ve called to assure me otherwise. I’ll be on for a very short stint, probably 90 seconds to two minutes, somewhere between 5:15 and 5:30 Eastern.

The blog roundup idea is catching on, with CNN and the NBC cable family doing several of them. LaShawn Barber has done several segments on “Connected,” as have Glenn Reynolds and Jeff Jarvis.

Trey Jackson has carved out an interesting niche for himself by doing video captures of these segments and posting them at his site.

Update (1144): The producer just called and said they’d decided to bump the segment after all so they can do 60 minutes of Terri Schiavo. I’m rescheduled for next Wednesday.

    Trey Jackson has struck gold.

I’ll be watching for you, James!

Two minutes isn’t long. The commercial breaks are longer. Good luck, I’ll be watching.

Man, you are all about getting bumped from these shows.

Like we need another 60 minutes on Schiavo.

  4. Man! And I set both of my TiVos.

  5. Jeff Jarvis says:

Sorry that I bumped you, as it turns out. They were going to do Schiavo links and then, a few minutes before the show, it switched to all-Pope. Strange news day. I’ll look forward to seeing you next week.
