PISTOL TOTERS PERMIT?
Reuters has breaking news on the Lopez-Affleck saga:
Will-they or won’t-they couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appeared in a Georgia courthouse together but the only license they asked about was for a gun — not a marriage, a court official said on Tuesday.
The Hollywood couple — whose wedding was called off at the last minute this month — visited the courthouse on Monday to discuss security around their seaside Georgia home, said Barry Wilkes, court clerk for Liberty County in Hinesville, near the coastal city of Savannah.
“They were also asking where Mr. Affleck could get a pistol toter’s permit,” Wilkes said, adding the couple were directed to the probate judge’s office. Since that is the same office that issues marriage licenses, rumors of nuptials flared.
Frankly, I don’t care much about whether they get married. But the sequence engagement-broken engagement-gun is not a positive trend.
