Site Woes

The site woes continue, as the transition to the new server ran into some unexpected snags. Mark hopes to have things transitioned tomorrow morning. My apologies for the inconvenience.

UPDATE (Sept. 8): Okay, so it’s late afternoon. The site’s moved, although there may be continued wonkiness while the domain nameservers port and the inevitable bugs are ironed out.

That darn Hosting Matters! Oh wait… :>

Hosting Matters’ general suckitude is well documented. Some quick Google searches will confirm that.

In my particular case, I’ve experienced a twenty-fold increase in traffic since leaving them and have progressed from shared hosting to virtual private server to low end dedicated server with limited support and have outgrown that. So we’re now moving to managed support and a multi-server array. Unfortunately, my tech guy has a day job and can’t get to things as fast as I’d like.

    Only one word of advice:
Make darned sure you’ve got all the WP updates in.
I got clobbered on a security breech over the weekend.. an apparent WP security hole.

Thanks. I think I’ve got the latest release.
