That Just Seems Like a Bad Idea

Via Worldcrunch:   Backpacking in the Buff: Germany’s New Hiking Trail for Naked Nature Lover.

Ok, I am a fan of hiking and some activities do require nudity (showering, for example), but this strikes me as a really, really bad combination.

Two words:  pointy sticks.

Two more words:  poison ivy.

Me no get.

Do they have poison Ivy in Germany?

But still, they must have some real easy trails, I would think scrapes and bumps would discourage this.

And they really must not have briars. I’ve had briars grab and hold on for dear life. I certainly don’t want them getting a hold of some things.

Life’s full of little hazards. Seeking to avoid them would mean we’re all kept in our rooms.

Do walking shorts provide protection from briars? Sure, certain parts might be protected, but pain is pain.

Frankly, I’d be more concerned about sunburn hiking in European mountains. Even in winter, you can get badly burnt.

@John Burgess – I take it that you don’t wear your seat belt? Or motorcycle helmet? Or shoes?

My point was that naked hiking exposes you to many hazards easily limited by thin cloth.

Easier to find when they can’t hide inderneath your clothes.
