THE MADONNA FACTOR
Well, this clinches it for me:
Madonna is saying the current administration is a bigger threat to our safety than terrorism. At least that’s the way some people are reading an e-mail that the singer is sending to fans.

The lengthy letter also spells out Madonna’s support for Wesley Clark, whom she calls the “American Dream” – the name of her latest album. “I’ve never aligned myself with a presidential candidate during the primary season,” she writes. “But this time, the stakes are too high, we have too much to lose and there is so much work to be done.”
The janitor at work supports Gephardt. I think these two endorsements are of equal value.
No–I’d actually value the janitor’s opinion. He has a real job and is likely perfectly in touch with reality.
Madonna for Clark, Willie Nelson for Kucinich, only makes me wonder what’s next.
I like Brad Pitt’s comment on celebrities and politics: “come on, you don’t want to know what I think about China. . . . when it comes right down to it I’m a grown man who wears makeup.”
Son of a gun. Under that perfect hair there’s a brain. And he uses it!
Frankly, neither Madonna nor Willie Nelson have much sway on my opinion. I want to hear from Zamfir.
